The words are always on the tip of his tongue, but he never says them. He never has to. For every thought he has, Cameron has three. Foreman has ten theories – usually wrong – to his scant one. House has a million retorts and jokes and Wilson has all the words of sympathy. It’s a constant soundtrack of noise around him and Chase slowly slips into the realization that he doesn’t need to say that much.
He saves his words for when it’s important. He only speaks when he has an apt diagnosis or a creative solution.
His words are saved.
